Showing compassion to the hurting and restoring hope.

I am Tasha Elliott. I am married and have 3 children of my own. Some of our family interests include horse back riding, hockey, golfing, singing, camping and fishing.
I believe in living life to it's fullest, while also recognizing that sometimes life brings difficult seasons that make this feel anything but easy. After working through several difficult seasons in my own life, I decided to further my education so I could better help others. Since graduating in 2018, I have had the immense privilege of walking alongside many clients as they have regained strength and hope to face the days ahead.
I would be honored to partner with you in this stage of your journey.

I graduated with my Masters in Counselling from Briercrest Seminary in 2022. Since then, I have worked with children and youth as a school counsellor and presently I work primarily with adult clients.
Many of the clients I work with are hoping to improve their interpersonal relationships, strengthen their self-esteem or better understand and change communication patterns. I also work with many people who are processing grief, traumatic experiences, difficult life transitions, or the lasting effects of past experiences.
I am a Professional & Certified Member with the CCPA #11244128
I am an Associate Professional Member with PACCP #731SK21
My primary training is in Narrative Therapy and I also integrate CBT, Attachment Theory, Family Systems, Person-Centered and other approaches into my assessment and interventions. I approach my work through a systems perspective and trauma-Informed lens.
This means I recognize that a client's unique culture, ethnicity, religion, gender experience, family of origin, relationships and past experiences contribute to the way they face challenges, make sense of their experiences, and access support. While my own values, culture and beliefs naturally influence who I am as a counsellor, I strive to offer safe, non-judgmental, client-centered care that respects each person's worldview, goals and perspective.
I believe in treating all people with respect, dignity and genuine care, regardless of our differences.
Specialized Areas of Care
I offer is EMI (Eye Movement Integration) as an option for clients who are experiencing ongoing difficulties related to past trauma or grief.
I also offer specialized faith-centered care for clients who wish to integrate their Christian beliefs into their counselling. My goal is to provide a space where faith can be explored as a meaningful part of your care while respecting your individual beliefs, questions, and experiences.
First I want to say this:
You are the expert in your own life.
The knowledge, skills and experiences that have shaped you bring a kind of expertise to the counselling room that I, nor any other counsellor, will ever replace.
I believe counselling is not a one-size-fits-all solution. It is a relationship built between counsellor and client. My role is not to tell you who you are or what you should do, but to bring my training, experience, and perspective alongside yours as we work toward the goals that matter to you.
Counselling involves conversation, trust, vulnerability and goal setting. It can also take time to feel comfortable sharing your story with someone new. My hope is that our first conversations give you space to ask questions, tell me a little about what brings you to counselling, and get a sense of whether we might be a good fit.
You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin counselling. You don't even need to know exactly what you need.
We can start wherever you are.
Together, we can explore what you hope will be different, identify the things that may be getting in the way, and consider practical steps toward your goals at a pace that feels manageable for you.
The most important thing is that you feel heard, respected, and safe enough to begin.
If you are wondering whether we might be a good fit, drop me a quick not about yourself. We can begin a conversation from there.
